PRESS RELEASE

August 31, 2004

Mr. Kipchoge Keino
Chairman
FIFA/KFF Normalisation Committee

Dear Kip,

RE: SEAT AND VOTE ON BOARD OF DIRECTORS

At the meeting last Saturday of the shareholders of the Kenyan Premier League Limited* (KPL), it was decided not to follow fully the example of the Premier League Limited in England where the equivalent of the KFF, the Football Association Limited, has a special non-voting preferential share and a non-voting seat on the Board of Directors.

Instead, as a clear and tangible _expression of the belief of our clubs that the Premier League company and the KFF will need to work closely together as partners in saving and improving Kenyan football, the Premier League clubs decided that the KFF will have the same voting shares as each of our clubs with a full seat and vote on the KPL Board of Directors.

In that same spirit of reciprocity, unification and partnership, the new KFF Constitution should also include representatives of Premier League clubs as voting members in the top decision-making bodies of KFF.

On behalf of the Chairman of the KPL Interim Executive Committee, I am therefore pleased to invite you or a representative nominated by you to represent the FIFA/KFF Normalisation Committee on the KPL Board of Directors.

I hope you consider it equally good news that the cost implications are minimal. At the meeting on Saturday it was decided that the FIFA/KFF Normalisation Committee be issued 20 ordinary shares at Ksh 100 each for a total cost of Ksh 2,000.

The next meeting of the KPL shareholders will be held on Saturday, September 11th starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Utalii Hotel.

Given the importance for the future of Kenyan football of the ongoing unification process, it is greatly hoped and would be an honour if you would personally attend and make an opening statement.

With best wishes,
Bob Munro
Interim Executive Committee
