At the KPL
meeting on Saturday it was agreed that the KPL Chairman write immediately to the
KFF Chairman on the results and decisions of the meeting. Below is the letter
which will be delivered to the KFF Chairman this morning along with the approved
attachments.

Mr. Alfred Sambu
KFF National Chairman
Dear Mr. Sambu,
On behalf of the majority of Premier League clubs I want to express our regret
that you were unable to accept or respond to our invitation to attend our
meeting yesterday. However, at the meeting the clubs praised your recent
announcement that the next Premier League will be owned and managed by the KPL.
That is a refreshing and necessary break with the past and a sincere recognition
that this had already been agreed for inclusion in the KFF Constitution at the
meeting on December 9, 2004 chaired by Sports Minister Ochillo Ayacko with key
members of the KFF Normalisation Committee and top FIFA officials.
As agreed with the KFF Normalisation Committee and FIFA and reported to you
earlier, our shareholders already agreed to change our name to "KFF Premier
League Ltd" as is the practice in England and many other countries where the
league is owned and run by clubs.
To help accelerate that transition, our clubs also welcomed the FIFA/KFF
initiative to invite senior officials of the South African Premier Soccer League
in to meet with us on May 2nd. To prepare properly for that meeting and the
2005-06 season, our clubs request a meeting with you and your colleagues,
preferably on Saturday, April 16th or 23rd as most of our club officials serve
as volunteers and have other fulltime jobs.
The full KPL statement is attached. As the election of the previous club
representatives was irregular and in the last three months neither of them has
attended any KPL meetings or consulted the other clubs they should represent,
please note that the majority of Premier League clubs decided that "the KPL
Chairman from Nzoia FC should now represent their clubs as the KFF Second Vice
Chairman and the KPL Vice Chairman from Tusker FC should serve as the second
club representative on the KFF National Executive Committee".
Also approved by the clubs and attached is the report "For the Good of the
Game: Achieving Good Governance, Financial Transparency and Stakeholder
Accountability for Saving and Improving Kenyan Football". I was asked by the
clubs to submit it immediately to you for distribution to all participants at
the FIFA/KFF workshop this week.
For the good the game, our clubs now look forward to working closely with KFF
and FIFA in making the 2005-06 Premier League the most competitive, exciting and
rewarding league in Kenyan football history.
With best wishes,
Gerishom Kololi
KPL Chairman
